New weekly container shipping service, connecting Karaikal Port in Tamil Nadu, with Kankesanthurai (KKS) and Trincomalee ports is expected to commence in September.
The service will be operated by Connect Maritime LLP, a Chennai-based logistics company, through its Sri Lankan agent, IndSri Ferry Services Lanka Pvt. Ltd.
The service will deploy the M/V Beypore Sultan, a small coastal cargo vessel with a capacity of 81 TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units), between the three ports on a weekly basis.
